Connect Your Number
To use WhatsApp with Aeternitychat, you need to connect a phone number through Meta’s Embedded Signup flow.
Prerequisites
Before connecting, make sure you have:

| Meta Business Account | A Facebook Business account. One will be created during signup if you don’t have one. |
| Verified Business Portfolio | Your Meta Business portfolio must be verified. This requires submitting official business documents to Meta for review. |
| GSTIN / Tax Info | Your GST Identification Number (or equivalent tax ID for your region) must be registered with Meta. This is required for business verification and sending templates. |
| Business Website | A live website representing your business. |
| Payment Method | A credit or debit card added to Meta for billing. |
| Phone Number | A number not already registered with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. |
If your number is currently used with the WhatsApp app, you must delete it from that app first. A number cannot be registered in two places simultaneously.
Business verification is mandatory. Without a verified business portfolio and valid GSTIN/Tax ID, you will not be able to send message templates or run campaigns. Verification typically takes 1–5 business days.
Step-by-Step Setup
- Go to Channels > WhatsApp
- Click Add Phone Number in the top right
- A Facebook login window will appear — sign in with your Meta Business account
- Follow the prompts to:
- Select or create a Meta Business Account
- Create a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
- Register your phone number
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone
- Once verified, your number appears in the configuration table as Connected
After Connection
Your new number will show up in the WhatsApp configuration table with:
- Status: Connected
- Health: Available
- Quality: Starts as unrated, builds over time
- Tier: Initial messaging limit (typically 250 or 1,000 messages/day)
Adding Multiple Numbers
You can connect multiple phone numbers to the same workspace. Click Add Phone Number again and repeat the process. Each number appears as a separate row in the configuration table.
Each phone number has its own message templates, quality rating, and messaging limits. Templates created for one number are not automatically available on another.
Troubleshooting
