Contact Profile
Click on any contact in the Customers table to open their full profile. The profile page shows all information about a customer in organized sections.
Profile Sections
Contact Information
The main profile card at the top shows:
- Name — Editable display name
- Phone Number — Their WhatsApp number
- Channel — The messaging platform
Tags
View and manage the tags applied to this contact. You can:
- Add existing tags
- Create new tags on the fly
- Remove tags
Segments
Shows which segments this contact belongs to based on their current data. Segments are automatically calculated — you can’t manually add or remove a contact from a segment.
Custom Attributes
Displays all custom attribute values for this contact. You can edit attribute values directly from the profile.
Notes
Add internal notes about the customer. Notes are visible to your team but not to the customer.
Metadata
Technical information about the contact:
- Contact ID — Unique identifier
- Created At — When the contact was created
- Last Active — When they last sent a message
Editing a Contact
Most fields on the profile can be edited directly:
- Click on the field you want to edit
- Make your changes
- Changes are saved automatically
Viewing Conversation History
From the contact profile, you can navigate to their conversation in Live Chat to see the full message history.
Changes to a contact’s tags or attributes can affect which segments they belong to. Segment membership updates automatically when contact data changes.
