Connect WhatsApp
To send and receive messages through Aeternitychat, you need to connect a WhatsApp Business phone number. This is done through Meta’s (Facebook) Embedded Signup flow.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- A Meta Business Account (Facebook Business). If you don’t have one, it will be created during the signup process.
- A phone number that is not already registered with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. You’ll need to receive a verification code on this number.
If your phone number is currently used with the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, you’ll need to delete the app from that number first. The number cannot be registered in two places at once.
Connect Your Number
- In the sidebar, navigate to Channels > WhatsApp
- Click Connect or Configure to begin setup
- A Facebook login window will appear — sign in with your Meta Business account
- Follow the prompts to:
- Select or create a Meta Business Account
- Create a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
- Register your phone number
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone number
- Once verified, your number will appear as Connected in the WhatsApp channel page
After Connecting
Once connected, your WhatsApp channel page will show:
- Display Name — The business name shown to your customers
- Phone Number — Your connected WhatsApp number
- Health — The health status of your number (Healthy, Flagged, etc.)
- Quality — Your messaging quality rating (High, Medium, Low)
- Throughput — Your current messaging speed tier
- Connected Status — Confirmation that the channel is active

Your WhatsApp channel health and quality rating are visible on the Dashboard as well. Keep an eye on these to maintain good messaging performance.
